The main organiser, the Alfvén Society, Alfvéngården, the Karlfeldt Society, the Walléngården Foundation, Munthes Hildasholm, Leksand Municipality and Leksand Parish invite you to four packed festival days. Tickets go on sale in May.

THURSDAY 7 AUGUST 2025 - A HANDFUL OF STRONG WOMEN

We start with breakfast in Carin's café at Alfvéngården, accompanied by the Siljan Choir. Then we will meet Marie Krøyer Alfvén, Carin Alfvén, Anna Alfvén, Gerda Karlfeldt and Lilly Segerdahl. Korstäppan Manor offers both good food and stories about Hilda Munthe's connection to Korstäppan and her social life in Leksand.

FRIDAY 8 AUGUST 2025 - LITTLE BROTHER SÖDERLUNDH, POETRY AND MUSIC

Poetry walk at Sångs, Karlfeldtsgården in Sjugare. Concert with Lille Bror Söderlundh's music - but also music by Hugo Alfvén and settings of Erik Axel Karlfeldt's poetry.

SATURDAY 9 AUGUST 2025 - AXEL MUNTHE, HILDA MUNTHE AND HILDASHOLM

The day starts with a choir workshop. Then most of the day is devoted to Hilda and Axel Munthe and their relationship. The interesting gardens at Munthe's Hildasholm, which is Sweden's answer to Vita Sackville West's Sissinghurst in England, receive special attention. Hilda's cake will be enjoyed in the afternoon.

SUNDAY 10 AUGUST 2025 - CLOSURE

Service with music in Leksand church. Participants in the choir workshop sing.
